iPhone and iPad content

I've built the content and contextual material for several location-aware iOS apps.

I had the pleasure of working with the smart folk at Never Odd Or Even LLP during 2009 and 2010, developing compelling written and photographic travel content for their Instant Cities iPhone apps. I came across their innovative series while researching this travel app roundup piece for the Telegraph. My first iPhone app with them, Instant Florence, was released in November 2009, and was described as "a very well written guide to just about everything you'd want to see," by The Florentine. Instant Turin followed in December, and I commissioned further additions to their series during 2010.

The successful Frommer's Great Britain Day by Day title, for which I wrote the Wales chapters, has been turned into a superb, innovative, interactive iPad app by California-based Apple ninjas Inkling.

I also worked with local startup London Smartphone on an app designed to help Londoners with an urgent need. It went on sale at the App Store just before Christmas 2009 and remained in the top 50 travel apps for several months. We have more collaboration plans for London-focused apps in the pipeline.

This might be the height of the "digital Klondike," but there will never be any substitute for quality content put together by a knowledgeable writer and thorough researcher who understands the requirements of writing for a 4-inch screen. If you need some, get in touch.
