I wrote my first book in 1995, the Study Guide for Richard Lipsey's iconic textbook Positive Economics.

More recently I have written bestselling guidebooks for the world's leading travel guidebook publisher, Frommer's. Frommer's Tuscany and Umbria With Your Family was judged Best Guidebook 2008 at the ENIT Travel Writing Awards. I'll be back in the region during 2010 working on a new edition.

My new edition of Frommer's Florence and Tuscany Day by Day, published in June 2009, is among the bestselling titles on Florence in the United States. It's also the best book I've written so far. Until the next one.

I'm delighted to be working with DK Travel Guides on Central Italy content for the 2010 edition of Eyewitness Italy.

My regular visits to Tuscany have seen me build up an extensive travel-related picture library: both my published region titles include a number of my own photos. If you're looking for photographic content for the region, do get in touch.

I also co-wrote Frommer's The Balearics With Your Family: The Best of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, and am under contract to deliver a major addition to Frommer's Day by Day series in late 2010.

As a result, I have been quoted as a travel expert in publications as diverse as Tesco Magazine, Il Tirreno and the Sunday Telegraph.

I also contributed a number of chapters to 2005: Blogged and The 2007 Blog Digest.
